Beyond his work as a sideman\, he is a prolific bandleader in his own right\, frequently mentoring and performing with the brightest young talents on the scene. \nPianist Zier Romme Larsen delivers a truly extraordinary performance\, blending energetic drive with a sensitive touch that clearly draws inspiration from Oscar Peterson. Zier was awarded the Ben Webster Prize in 2023\, following in the footsteps of Fischer\, who received the same honor in 1996.  \nBassist Matthias Petri\, known for his virtuoso technique and rock-solid melodicism\, stands as one of the most prominent young bassists on the scene today.
