Jonathan Rahbæk is one of the most talented and sought-after young bassists on the Danish jazz scene today. He is known for his deep, warm tone on the double bass and his technical mastery of the electric bass, making him an incredibly versatile musician. Rahbæk is a core member of the critically acclaimed quartet MUSViT (alongside Ronja Rose Andersson, among others), which won the 2024 Jazz Competition. He masters both tight, modern grooves and the lyrical, Nordic tone, frequently serving as the stable and inspiring backbone for projects ranging from hip-hop-infused jazz to contemporary big band music.
