On February 13th, La Fontaine presents a fresh ensemble featuring both familiar and new faces from the domestic and international scenes. The band is led by Mårten Lundgren and Fini Brandt, who take center stage with their voices and instruments. The rhythm section consists of two of Sweden’s most prominent young musicians: Jon Henriksson on bass and Samuel Winter on drums. Throughout the evening, they will deliver an unmistakably powerful sense of swing.

The performance is inspired by legendary vocalists like Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett, but infused with a fresh, modern touch.

    Fini Brandt Broadbery is a young, dynamic Danish guitarist and composer who has made a name for himself on the Danish jazz and fusion scene. A graduate of the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) in Copenhagen, Fini is known for his virtuosic, energetic playing, drawing inspiration from rock, fusion, and modern jazz. His compositions are often complex, filled with rhythmic energy and captivating melodies. He is a highly sought-after musician who performs regularly with various bands and projects. Fini Brandt Broadbery represents a new generation of Danish musicians who dare to explore the boundaries of musical genres.

    Jon Henriksson is a prominent Swedish double bassist and composer based in Stockholm, who has established a firm footing on the Scandinavian jazz scene. He is known for his warm, deep tone and a modern approach to composition that blends lyrical Nordic sounds with American jazz traditions. Henriksson leads his own ensembles, including the Shapeshifter Quintet, and released the critically acclaimed album Harmonia in 2024. He is also a highly sought-after collaborator for artists such as Rasmus Sørensen and Håkan Broström.

In addition to jazz, he is a permanent member of the acclaimed brass band Eikanger-Bjørsvik Musikklag and performs with opera ensembles. His ability to master both powerful improvisations and complex, lyrical passages makes him a sought-after musician and a key figure among the new generation of Scandinavian rhythmic artists.
