Over the past 50 years, La Fontaine has hosted numerous jazz musicians. Every Sunday, Copenhagen’s top musicians gather at La Fontaine for a jam session. And maybe some of the big-stage stars will show up and join in. Many jazz legends have played on La Fontaine’s small ‘after-hours’ stage, including Ben Webster, Wynton Marsalis, and Lady Gaga.
This Sunday, drummer Andreas Fryland will be directing the music throughout the evening.
Anything can happen during a jazz performance, and La Fontaine is the perfect place to experience it.

Andreas Fryland is a drummer and percussionist who has established himself as a strong and versatile voice on the Danish jazz and fusion scene. Fryland has studied in Amsterdam and New York, contributing to his broad musical palette. He is a sought-after sideman in several leading constellations, where his dynamics and precision make him a driving force in the rhythm section.
Bass
Jakob Roland is a prominent Danish jazz bassist whose playing is known for its deep tone, powerful swing, and unwavering authority. After several years refining his craft in New York, Roland has become one of the most sought-after bassists on the Scandinavian jazz scene. He is a musician who builds a solid yet flexible foundation in any constellation. Roland is respected for his musicality and his ability to enrich both traditional and modern jazz.
Guitar
Per Møllehøj is one of Denmark’s most sought-after jazz guitarists, renowned for his phenomenal swing and deep roots in the jazz tradition. With a warm tone and effortless technique, he masters everything from intimate chamber jazz to explosive bebop. Having performed with legends like Hugo Rasmussen, he remains a staple on both national and international stages. Møllehøj blends classic guitar craftsmanship with a modern energy, ensuring every performance is a unique and captivating experience.
