After 10 years as a successful musician in New York, saxophonist Anders Gaardmand returned to his home country of Denmark. Since then, he has been a fixture among the musicians at La Fontaine in Copenhagen. His funky saxophone playing still carries the energy from his time in the US. Tonight, he presents the rare combination of father and son on the same stage: piano veteran Ben Besiakow and his son, David, on drums. The always wonderful Anders Fjeldsted safely guides the music home with his flawlessly executed bass playing.
