Jacob Fischer and accordion virtuoso Francesco Calí, from Catania, Sicily, share an extraordinary musical bond developed over more than 15 years of close collaboration. The accordion and guitar make for an exceptionally melodic and charming combination that seems to strike a chord directly with the audience—”Jazz with a Mediterranean vibe,” as heard on their critically acclaimed 2011 album, Django.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, they are joined on this occasion by the wonderful young double bassist and singer Rosa Salamon, who recently returned to Denmark after several years abroad. The quartet is completed by drummer Andreas Svendsen, one of the most brilliant drumming talents seen in many years, who has become one of the most sought-after musicians in Denmark.
