Mathias Heise is an award-winning Danish jazz musician, composer, and harmonica virtuoso. As the World Champion of the chromatic harmonica (2013), he has injected new life into the instrument within modern jazz. He leads his fusion/funk band, Mathias Heise Quadrillion, and has received accolades such as the Ben Webster Prize (the youngest recipient ever). Heise is recognized for his virtuoso technique, melodic flair, and ability to combine jazz with funk and rock.
