The Copenhagen music collective The Supreme Court delivers an original mash-up between hip hop, soul, and jazz. With clear references to artists such as J-Dilla, Thelonious Monk, and Eddie Harris, the band blends funky beats with jazzy soundscapes and explosive solos. In recent years, The Supreme Court has made its mark on the Danish scenes with a vibrant and energetic live concept featuring rotating soloists. This evening, they will be joined on stage at La Fontaine by the versatile super-guitarist August Campeotto!

He is a sought-after sideman in several leading constellations, where his dynamics and precision make him a driving force in the rhythm section.

    August Campeotto is a talented Danish jazz guitarist who has quickly made a name for himself on the Aarhus and Copenhagen jazz scenes. He is known for his nuanced and lyrical guitar playing, frequently exploring both acoustic and electric soundscapes. He often performs in ensembles that emphasize melodic and Nordic expressions, and he is part of the wave of young musicians bringing a new freshness to modern jazz.

    Jacob Broholm (Jacob Dedenroth Broholm) is a highly skilled Danish pianist and keyboardist who moves effortlessly between genres such as jazz, funk, soul, and world music. He is known for his exceptional playing on both acoustic piano and electric keyboards, such as the Fender Rhodes and Hammond organ. Broholm is a key member of the band The Supreme Court and the trio Organic Truth, and he has collaborated over the years with artists such as Deodato Siquir and Niels Ryde. His style is characterized by a strong rhythmic drive, melodic flair, and an ability to create atmospheric soundscapes.

    Jonathan Rahbæk is one of the most talented and sought-after young bassists on the Danish jazz scene today. He is known for his deep, warm tone on the double bass and his technical mastery of the electric bass, making him an incredibly versatile musician. Rahbæk is a core member of the critically acclaimed quartet MUSViT (alongside Ronja Rose Andersson, among others), which won the 2024 Jazz Competition. He masters both tight, modern grooves and the lyrical, Nordic tone, frequently serving as the stable and inspiring backbone for projects ranging from hip-hop-infused jazz to contemporary big band music.
