Bo Møller Hammond trio
Wednesday den 11. February kl. 20:00 - 22:15
Bo Møller creates music in the intersection between the raw roots of the blues, the elegant movement of swing, and the open, airy sound of Nordic jazz. He has recorded several albums and toured with names such as Mojo Hands, the Signe Juhl Quartet, and Flat Bop. His distinct sound and stage presence have made him a highly sought-after guitarist on the Danish jazz and blues scene. This evening, he will be joined by Rasmus Lund on drums and La Fontaine’s very own Kjeld Lauritsen on Hammond organ.
Line-up
Guitar
Bo Møller (Bo Møller Petersen) is a highly respected Danish guitarist and educator, known for his deep love of jazz and technical versatility. He masters everything from traditional New Orleans jazz and swing (notably as a longtime member of the Paul Harrison Band) to more modern, lyrical expressions in the Signe Juhl Trio. Based in Esbjerg, he is a central figure in the West Jutland music scene, both as a performer and as a teacher at the School of Culture, sharing his passion for improvisation and the perfect “swing.”
Hammond organ
Kjeld Lauritsen is an institution in Danish jazz. With his massive Hammond organ and the legendary rotating Leslie speakers, he creates a sound that is raw, warm, and deeply swinging. He is renowned for his incredible footwork on the bass pedals and his mastery of everything from blues and soul-jazz to complex modern compositions. For decades, Kjeld has been a driving force on the scene—both as a leader of his own popular groups and as a generous collaborator for Danish and international soloists alike. A concert with Kjeld Lauritsen is a guarantee of musical brilliance and infectious joy.
Drums
Rasmus Lund is one of Denmark’s most sought-after and versatile drummers, known for his rock-solid groove and ability to elevate any musical context. He has been a mainstay for countless artists across jazz, pop, and soul, including major names like Hanne Boel and Caroline Henderson. Lund is recognized for his musical sensitivity and his ability to combine technical brilliance with a deep understanding of a song’s pulse, making him one of the preferred sidemen on the Danish music scene.
