Guitarist Jacob Artved is on a short visit to his hometown of Copenhagen. He is normally based in New York, where he frequently plays with two other world-class musicians: Gideon Tazelaar on saxophone and Felix Moseholm on bass. The group takes standard tunes from the jazz tradition to new heights, but the musicians also bring fresh compositions to the repertoire. Expect swinging, contemporary jazz at the highest level!

Performing alongside some of the genre’s heavyweights, he has refined a playing style characterized by immense rhythmic authority, a big, resonant tone, and a deep understanding of the jazz tradition. Felix is renowned for providing an unwavering foundation while delivering lyrical, mature solos. He navigates the lightning-fast complexities of traditional bebop with effortless ease, while seamlessly infusing classic ballads with deep, lyrical warmth. Gideon is renowned for his massive tone and tight interplay, collaborating with international icons like Wynton Marsalis and Dick Oatts as well as leading Danish artists like Jacob Artved.     Jacob Artved has rapidly established himself as one of the most prominent and brilliant stars on the Scandinavian jazz scene. Admitted to the Rhythmic Music Conservatory at just 15 years old—the youngest student ever—he soon chose to relocate to New York City to immerse himself in the genre the traditional way: through endless jam sessions in the city’s vibrant club scene. Jacob is renowned for his dazzling technique, a crystal-clear, signature guitar tone, and a remarkably mature grasp of both traditional bebop and contemporary jazz styles. With critically acclaimed releases like Live at Jazzhus Montmartre (featuring drum legend Louis Hayes) and the ambitious, classically-inspired album Metamorphosis, he proves to be a masterful keeper of the flame with a bold, modern vision.
