Krister Jonsson is one of the Nordic region’s most prominent and innovative guitarists. For more than three decades, he has been a strong voice in the Danish and Scandinavian jazz scene, collaborating with artists such as Marilyn Mazur, Bo Stief, and Kjeld Lauritsen.

As a sideman in a wide range of projects, he has made his mark with a personal expression that moves freely between the atmospherically experimental and the down-to-earth, groove-based.

Since his first trio album, I’ll Stay Out Here and Talk to Harry, in 1995, his music has naturally evolved, but it still draws inspiration from Hendrix, Rollins, Woodstock, and the Norwegian mountains.

Featuring Thomas Fonnesbæk on bass and Stefan Pasborg, the trio brings immense musical range, energy, and presence. It promises a concert where original compositions and selected standards are shaped in the moment—with interplay at its core.

    Thomas Fonnesbæk is an internationally acclaimed Danish double bassist, widely regarded as one of the world’s leading jazz bassists. Fonnesbæk has performed with legends such as Lars Jansson and Monty Alexander. His ability to elevate the bass from a rhythmic instrument to an equal solo voice has secured him a unique position on the global jazz scene.
