Ayi Solomon is a legendary figure on the Scandinavian and international world music and jazz scenes. Originally from Ghana, he has enriched the Nordic cultural landscape for decades with his extraordinary rhythmic fluency, deep roots in West African traditions, and infectious, vibrant musical joy. Utilizing a dazzling array of traditional percussion instruments—from djembe and talking drum to shekere and congas—he provides an organic, pulsating heartbeat to any musical ensemble. Ayi is renowned for his remarkably nuanced, responsive playing and has collaborated with a stellar roster of world and jazz music icons, including Pierre Dørge & New Jungle Orchestra, Mikkel Nordsø, and New Cool Collective. Kjeld Lauritsen is an institution in Danish jazz. With his massive Hammond organ and the legendary rotating Leslie speakers, he creates a sound that is raw, warm, and deeply swinging. Krister Jonsson is one of the most distinctive and innovative guitarists in the Nordics. Renowned for his long-standing collaboration with Marilyn Mazur and his work with leading big bands, Jonsson delivers performances marked by technical brilliance and a deep, soulful intensity that truly captivates the audience.

Mads Andersen is one of the most frequently engaged and versatile drummers in Denmark. He has established himself as an essential rhythmic engine across a wide array of musical landscapes—from swinging jazz and blues to the contemporary pop scene. Mads is renowned for his incredibly responsive playing and his ability to always play “for the music,” leading to long-standing roles in bands like the Mike Andersen Band and the Marie Key Band. With a background from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, he combines technical precision with an organic spirit that provides both depth and drive. Regardless of the genre, Mads Andersen brings an infectious energy and an unwavering pulse to the stage.
