Copenhagen Poetry Club is a monthly event held on the first Monday of each month from 8 PM to 10 PM (20:00–22:00) at La Fontaine, where the stage is open to everyone.
Evenings where experienced and new writers alike test out new material or polish their existing texts. The hosts for the evening are Holger Svend Anderson or Eva Milthers.
Welcome to Copenhagen’s original poetry scene.
Copenhagen Poetry Club at La Fontaine is the stage for everyone: The new, the old, the experienced, the nervous, and those who just want to give it a try.
The atmosphere of the jazz world at La Fontaine sets the stage for the poets’ performances, creating a unique ambiance where you can experience new Danish literature up close. Meet the poets, listen to the poetry, and perhaps be inspired yourself to share your own texts from the stage. We have a faithful/loyal audience that is ready to welcome you.
Registration takes place on the evening between 7 PM and 8 PM (19:00 and 20:00), where you can sign up for the list by tapping Holger Svend Anderson or Eva Milthers on the shoulder. Everyone gets three minutes on stage, so please practice your text in advance so you don’t takeup time from the other poets.
The Copenhagen Poetry Club is a desire to unite the Copenhagen poetry scene, giving all writers, regardless of experience, age, or genre, a place to hang out and meet other word-users in cool, creative surroundings.
Doors open at 7 PM (19:00), but arrive early to secure a spot at the bar, in the audience, or on the list.
