Featured on trumpet is Jesper Riis, who masters both a swinging and blues-drenched musical vocabulary. Mads Søndergaard on Hammond and Espen Laub on drums form the eminent rhythm section.

Alice Carreri is a Danish jazz singer, known for her warm, deep vocals and authentic expression that draws on the Golden Age of Jazz. With a background in both Copenhagen and New York, she has become a recognized voice in the Nordic region, interpreting standards and her own compositions with a rare sensitivity and musicality. Carreri is a storyteller; her vocal delivery has an intimate and compelling quality that conveys the essence of the lyrics and creates a deep connection with the listener.
Drums
Espen Laub is a highly versatile and respected Danish drummer who moves effortlessly between the demanding requirements of jazz, pop, and rock. He is known for his technical precision, dynamic energy, and extensive studio and live work with some of Denmark’s biggest pop acts (including L.I.G.A. and Shaka Loveless). Laub is equally a potent force on the jazz scene, where his broad experience makes him a sought-after musician who consistently delivers a solid, stylistically clean drive.
Trumpet
Jesper Riis is one of Denmark’s leading trumpeters, arrangers, and composers, particularly recognized for his work with big bands and large ensembles. As the Chief Conductor of The Orchestra and a composer for the Danish Radio Big Band, he has forged a sophisticated, modern expression of orchestral jazz. Riis possesses a rare ability to combine technical composition with a deep jazz sensibility, which has led to collaborations with stars like John Scofield. He is a central figure in contemporary Danish music.
Organ, Piano
Mads Søndergaard is a Danish jazz pianist and organist known for his versatile and melodically strong playing, which moves between Nordic lyricism, American jazz tradition, and soulful Hammond grooves. A graduate of The Royal Conservatory in The Hague, he has made a name for himself as both a soloist and sideman on the Danish jazz scene, performing regularly at events such as the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. With releases like Art Roho serving Mads Søndergaard, he demonstrates a mature and personal approach that combines improvisation, storytelling, and technical finesse. Søndergaard is a captivating live performer who unites tradition and contemporary jazz in a warm, organic expression.
