  • Jacob Fischer X-mas Quartet

    For many years, guitarist Jacob Fischer has sweetened the Christmas month for jazz lovers with his project X-mas Friends, which released a critically acclaimed Christmas CD in 2013. This year, Fischer has handpicked three of the most emerging young talents on the Danish jazz scene—musicians who deliver genuine, swinging, and captivating jazz, solidly rooted in tradition, with both virtuosity and joy in playing.

    Among them is Zier Romme Larsen, recipient of the Ben Webster Prize 2023, whose playing unites energy and sensitivity with clear inspirations from Oscar Peterson—a truly exceptional experience.

    As always, the concert offers a fresh and personal take on Christmas classics, as the beloved melodies are given new brilliance in the hands of Fischer and his X-mas Friends. And naturally, there will also be room for a cozy Christmas story or two along the way.

    International and Nordic Christmas classics in fresh arrangements, featuring a well-knit band of a jazz guitar veteran and three incredibly talented young jazz musicians.
