  • Eliel Lazo Trio

    Eliel Lazo travels the world as a prominent ambassador for jazz and Cuban music. He is recognized as one of the leading percussionists internationally and performs with artists such as Michel Camilo.

    For this evening, Lazo has gathered yet another dream team of virtuosic musicians: guitarist and vocalist Zacharias Williams, and Kjeld Lauritzen on Hammond organ. Audiences can look forward to a concert full of captivating Afro-Cuban jazz and warm, vibrant tones that will make it difficult for anyone to stay seated.

    For more than 25 years, Stefan Pasborg has been one of Denmark’s leading drummers. Now he returns to his roots at La Fontaine, where he played countless concerts throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

  • Jacob Christoffersen & Jeppe Tuxen

    At La Fontaine, two keyboard virtuosos, pianist Jacob Christoffersen and Hammond organist Jeppe Tuxen, take the stage for an exceptional duo performance.

    This isn’t their first collaboration, but it’s been 22 years since they last performed together. That was back when Jacob was Jeppe’s teacher at the conservatory. Now, the long-awaited musical reunion is finally here.

    Jacob Christoffersen has been a prominent figure in the Danish jazz scene for over 25 years. Renowned for his innovative compositions and a poetic yet deeply swinging touch, he has firmly established himself as one of Denmark’s leading jazz pianists. In 2013, he was honored with the prestigious Ben Webster Honorary Award.

    Jeppe Tuxen is widely recognized as one of the country’s most charismatic organists. He gained fame as a member of the organ trio Ibrahim Electric and the legendary improv ensemble Hippie Da Da. His explosive energy and unique blend of funky grooves and melodic creativity captivate audiences.

  • Jacob Fischer Hammond Organ Trio – Blues and Big Band

    Expect a heavy dose of organ jazz as Jacob Fischer teams up with organ virtuoso Mads Søndergaard on the Hammond in true Jimmy Smith style, featuring Jappe Zacho on sax and Tom Jensen’s rock-solid swinging drums

    Jacob Fischer will be a familiar face to many, notably from his years playing with Svend Asmussen (who famously performed with Django Reinhardt) and from the thousands of concerts he played alongside Finn Ziegler and Hugo Rasmussen.

    Mads Søndergaard on organ and Jeppe Zacho on sax bring the perfect blend of blues and bebop to the quartet. With years of experience on the stage, these guys truly know their jazz!

    Most people have likely heard drummer Tom Jensen without even realizing it—whether in the Cirkusrevyen, performing with Stig Rossen, or in various other contexts. He is also a superb jazz drummer, a fact you’ll have the chance to experience firsthand at this concert.

    Jacob Fischer and accordion virtuoso Francesco Calí, from Catania, Sicily, share an extraordinary musical bond developed over more than 15 years of close collaboration. The accordion and guitar make for an exceptionally melodic and charming combination that seems to strike a chord directly with the audience—”Jazz with a Mediterranean vibe,” as heard on their critically acclaimed 2011 album, Django.

    Experience the young and rapidly rising singer Lea Foxman as she teams up with some of the finest musicians in the country on this special evening. Pelle von Bülow is one of the most in-demand jazz guitarists on the Copenhagen scene. In 2022, he was awarded the Erik Moseholm Prize, and in 2020, he also received the Tivoli Jazz Prize for his outstanding artistic integrity and sonic presence.     Schack/Søndergård Soulmates unites four of the country’s most prominent musicians in an explosive, groove-heavy Hammond quartet. Alto saxophonist Jens Søndergaard—an institution in Danish jazz—plays with a power, warmth, and authority that only grows stronger with the years. His tone brings to mind Cannonball Adderley and 60s soul jazz, yet carries his own distinct personal touch.
