Mads Mathias/Jacob Fischer
Singer and saxophonist Mads Mathias is Denmark’s leading male jazz vocalist—a personal and fresh take on the modern jazz crooner in the tradition of Sinatra, Nat ‘King’ Cole, and Tony Bennett, while also being an outstanding scat singer. His charismatic stage presence has made him a highly sought-after soloist, and he is steadily building a name for himself abroad, particularly in the UK.
Guitarist Jacob Fischer is another musician who, for many years, has performed more internationally than at home; many likely recognize him from his long tenure with Svend Asmussen or the thousands of concerts he performed alongside Finn Ziegler and Hugo Rasmussen.
